Satya Pappu, M.Sc, C-IAYT
Satya, a yoga therapist, faculty, and mentor at SVYASA Houston Center, is also a dedicated faculty member for Yoga Instructor certifications, guiding and mentoring aspiring yoga teachers. Her yoga journey commenced in 2015 as a certified Yoga instructor (200-hr), and she furthered her expertise by completing the 1000-hour yoga therapy program, earning the designation of a certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) at SVYASA.
Beyond her role at SVYASA, Satya contributes to the field as a Yoga Therapist at MD Anderson in the Integrative Medicine program. Additionally, she serves as the Certification and Approved Professional Development Lead at IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists). As a freelance yoga therapist, Satya focuses on working with clients dealing with cancer, long COVID, diabetes, arthritis, and autoimmune conditions. Her specific areas of interest include the study of classical yoga texts and the application of Yoga Therapy to help adolescents and populations dealing with substance abuse.
