Dr. Anjali Ranade, MD, C-IAYT

Mentor and Faculty

Dr. Anjali Ranade, MD, C-AIYT, is a Pediatrician working as a pediatric hospitalist at Baylor-Texas Children’s Hospital.
In her own words: "My yoga journey began with SVYASA Houston in 2016. I had the privilege of attending Yog-sandhya every month, where I was guided by my mentors, Vishwarupaji and Smithaji. The lectures, meditation sessions, and engaging discussions on various scriptures during Yog-sandhya profoundly inspired me to pursue a teacher’s training course.
As a physician, I harbored a keen interest in understanding the role of Yoga in the healing process of various diseases. With the adept guidance of my mentors, I successfully completed the 1000-hour Yoga therapy (IAYT) course, encompassing two years of theory and one year of practicum. During this time, I worked with clients grappling with chronic and debilitating conditions such as cancer, metabolic syndrome, hypothyroidism, and irritable bowel syndrome, among others. Presently, I continue to offer Yoga Therapy services to clients at SVYASA.
I am grateful to have secured a faculty position at SVYASA Houston, aligning with my enduring passion for expanding knowledge through teaching and mentoring future generations of Yoga therapists."
