Dr. Manjunath N K currently the Vice-Chancellor at S-VYASA University. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences from Mangalore University and obtained a Ph.D. in Yoga & Geriatric Medicine from S-VYASA University. Recognizing his significant contributions to Yoga Research, S-VYASA University has honored him with the Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) (Honoris Causa).
With an impressive 30 years of Academic, Research, and Administrative experience, Dr. Manjunath has published 84 research papers in international journals indexed in bibliographic databases. His research interests span the Psychophysiology of Yoga, Neural correlates of meditation, Aging, and rehabilitation. Dr. Manjunath has successfully guided students in Ph.D., M.D., and M.Sc. programs.
As the Editor of the International Journal of Yoga (IJOY) and a reviewer for various international journals, Dr. Manjunath is deeply involved in advancing Yoga research. He has delivered lectures and conducted workshops on evidence-based Yoga therapy at renowned institutions worldwide, including Harvard Medical School, Monash University, Royal College of Medicine, Shanghai University of Sports, and Pharma University.
His influence extends to advisory roles, as a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee (Department of Science and Technology), Research advisory committee (Integrative Medicine initiative, Niti Aayog), Core committee (Yoga accreditation in higher education, NAAC, Govt. of India), and Steering committee (Yoga programs and accreditation, Yunnan Minzu University, China), among others.
Dr. Manjunath holds leadership roles as the Vice-President of Vivekananda Yoga University, California, USA, and the Vice-president of the Asian Yoga Therapy Association, Singapore. He is also the Founding Director of the global chain of Integrative Medicine clinics and hospitals under the brand name Vivekananda Health Global. His remarkable achievements include prestigious awards such as the Bharat Gaurav Award at the House of Commons, British Parliament, London, and the IASTAM Yoga Forum Munchen Patanjali Award for excellence in Interdisciplinary development
